Check for an alias list that contains multiple paths to Maildirs where one (or more) of the Maildirs(accounts) do not exist. qmail-local see's the missing Maildir as a temporary error, stops delivery to the list and schedules it for delivery again. And it will run into the same time on each subs

it's correct, since APOP method doesn't send user's paswword in clear-text, and every time password send is different from the previous, so it is impossible (and unreasonable) to learn apop-passwords. New users should use clear-text password at first login to make this feature work. - Origin
