open-smtp problem - Help

I have enabled roaming users and configured to allow pop-before-smtp in vpopmail. But i have a doubt if my system is allowing open-relay ? Is this is a possiblity if my config files are not proper ? files are like this /etc/tcp.smtp /etc/tcp.smtp.cdb But the open.smtp.lock file is in /home/vpo

It could be that other modules are trying to be authenticated. try --without-auth for each of the other authentication modules and see what happens. also I do not think you can --enable-webpass=no --enable-webpass=vpopmail that doesnt make sense. -- tim - Original Message - From: I

qmailadmin-0.35 and IE 4.0

I suggest you move your tcp.smtp* files to ~vpopmail/etc and reconfigure vpopmail. Perhaps vpopmail is getting confused with permissions in the /etc directory. That's why i suggest you put all those files under ~vpopmail/etc directory. So that vpopmail permissions can be used. Ken PPPindia wr
