Hi,
My opinion, if it can help :
If it works when you have a .qmail, it's probably because this file use a
different delivery agent (maildrop), thus it means that your default delivery
agent does not work correctly, and for me according you are using gentoo,
honnestly, the .maildir / Maildir d
I tend to agree with you on all points, however, once a production level
system is up and running (quite smoothly for years up until recently here)
I try not to upset the chi.
Now if I were to do it all over, I'd probably do it very differently. It's
always a learning process.
Back onto point tho

I do agree, that the ebuilds are not always very useful. I had edited the
build to eliminate the changes from Maildir to .maildir. It is
accomplished through a simple sed command across the vpopmail source
before compiling.
I interrupted this process by commenting it out and the build itself

Hi,
Be carefull with the Gentoo ebuilds : they are modyfied by the Gentoo team to
use ".maildir" (dot maildir) in place of "Maildir", it can be the source of
your problems if you've mixed "official" Gentoo ebuilds (expecting .maildir)
with others made by hand (using Maildir).

Yes, I've dropped it and recreated it. Here's something interesting,
though:

Hi Bill;
I am using vpopmail 5 with mysql, valias support in mysql, on redhat 7.1
(gcc 3.0 though) and I have no problems with valias. It's working as
expected. Anything I can do to help ya troubleshoot?

Tren.

I just got back from our status meeting. Apparently, there ARE
some things to fix in the 5.0 tarball, but 5.0 is considered
to be stable except for database aliases. It hasn't been updated
on the webpage because that hasn't been resolve, although Ken is
unable to reproduce the reported problem.

You just missed a thread on this, do you have the ~vpopmail/bin/vipmap setup
properly?

I already had checked all the options I used.
They are the same from the 4.9 and 4.9.10 builds:
--enable-ip-alias-domains=y
maillog however shows no domain...
I guess the option --enable-ip-alias-domains=y is not really being
compiled into the code...

You probably forgot to set the default domain
(--enable-default-domain=domain.com).
