In 4.8.5, there were calls to vmake_maildir() in both vchkpw.c and
vdelivermail.c, but not in 5.0, in fact, I can't find anything that calls
this function:
# grep vmake *.c
vpopmail.c:int vmake_maildir(char *dir, uid_t uid, gid_t gid)
Thoughts?
I need
to figure out a way to do this in my vauth.c?
TIA,

is too, but the reason for a random salt is to make it
more difficult to run a dictionary attack. It's not much of a risk
though... the crypted passwd will only exist in memory and only for a split
second.
Thanks,

n FreeBSD (with FreeTDS), that location is
/usr/local/, not /opt/sybase. Perhaps the configure option for at least the
sybase could be:
--enable-sybase=n|/PREFIX disable (n, default) or enable (specify instal
location)

Is this 5.0 final? I've just recently (yesterday) got caught up with this
list, and saw several problems/resolutions with 5.0, and want to be sure
that everything is golden before I start working with the new version.

No, I'm talking about the POP3 LAST command that tells the MUA which message
was last downloaded. The qmail pop3 docs say that it's supported, but I
can't figure out why it's not working.

h
I know this question is better suited to the qmail list, but having not
received a response there, I'm trying here.
What do I need to do to get the LAST command to work with qmail-pop3d?

much smoother, but is far less
convenient as vpopmail likes to pump everything back through qmail instead
of just delivering the damned message straight up for local domains (also
served by vpopmail under the same uid/gid).
FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE
Qmail 1.03
Vpopmail 4.9.8

Are there other environment variables besides $LOCAL that are set that I
might be able to use? What about using a regexp in .qmail-default?

Has this been done? I don't see it in the TODO list or Changelog (4.9.10).
If not, what would it take to get it done?
