I installed some applications in tomcat 5.5.When i m monitoring through the
Lambda probe,I noticed that the /jsp-examples sessions are increased
invariably.
Please guide me in which circumstances these /jsp-examples sessions will
increase and whether it will affect my server
Do you use /jsp-examples for something?
In production (or on all your systems) remove the jsp-examples context/webapp
if you don't need it. In fact... remove all webapps which you don't use.

install. After all tomcat5 & related package
installed, trying to open the default port, 8180,
resulted in
JVM OutOfMemoryError - upon when tomcat attempts to
load the JSP examples in webapps. Somehow, the JVM

I'm having trouble getting /jsp-examples and /servlets-examples
started/running.
I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting. I have searched the tomcat
site. Manager & Admin app starts up OK.
I feel like I'm just getting started, but don't know if the above i

I checked the $CATALINA_HOME/conf/web.xml, it does have the save default
Servlet configuration as in your note. I will look further in the doc
link you sent.
The Admin and manager functions work fine clicking on the links from in
the default page.

whne you installed your tomcat server, you don`t install the examples, like a
full version, for that you cannot run the examples. if you wan able this
examples, you must install again the tomcat.

I noticed the following strange behaviour while playing with the form-based
login example under http://localhost:8080/jsp-examples/security/protected/ on a
freshly unpacked Tomcat core archive (tested with 5.0.28, 5.0.30beta and 5.5.16
under Linux and Windows with JDK 1.4.2, always identical
