Thanks everyone, I haven't had a chance to get back to trying to resolve this
issue with my test project, I do however know I am not using Tapestry Jquery
and I tried upgrading our main project to 5.3 yesterday afternoon which
seemed to work flawlessly. I'm using the same environment with both
proj
While it looks like the issue is with Tapestry, I'm guessing it's some
Jetty dependencies - GAV coordinates changes between Jetty 6.0 and
Jetty 7.0 so you easily end up having incompatible libs in your
classpath. Check your classpath again for duplicate/similar libs and
your dependency tree.

included the tapestry5-jquery library. There is an open issue here:

That looks quite odd. Please check your WEB-INF/lib folder to ensure
that you don't have multiple versions of the Tapestry JARs.
