Dear OpenOffice list members,
I just wanted to introduce myself to you before I start asking questions.
I'm a mom, grandmother, wife, retired teacher, OpenOffice enthusiast,
and that's about it.
I look forward to getting to know you guys.

Hi
For weeks I have been looking for an answer this problem. I have tried
the documentation and the forums. I have searched the internet. The
problems started when I upgraded from 3.x to 4.0 and beyond.
I have always been able to go from Word 2010 to Oo and back again. My

Lastly, I forgot to say that if I save it in .odt, then open it in Word
2010, it opens, but not without warnings and some changes to the document.
Thank you!!
Those are also issues!

I should have said that was my first attempt. There was no option to

Thank you!

Hi.
I just went through a round of issues with Word and OpenOffice. You will
be fine for the most part, unless your instructor plans to use the
"Review" process in which "comments" are used. If this is the case, you
will be screwed. You will be able to create the document and save it

Dear Mr. Barker,
Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, it was (and is always) ticked.
Any other ideas?

Hi Robert,
I don't see where this was answered, and I am absolutely not an expert.
But, I run OpenOffice on all my computers from Windows Vista to Windows
8.1. It works fine for me. Well, that is except the review and
comments thing.

Hello List Members!
I've been working on a document that is going to need an index. I wish
to create a concordance file for this purpose. I have found the

Dear list members,
I was wondering if you could move pages from location A to location D
without "copy/paste"? The last information I found on this topic said
no, but it was posted in the AOo forum in May 2013. Maybe a new feature
has been added since then?
Thanks!

Yes, it is as I thought. No option has been created for that purpose.
It makes sense. Thank you for confirming what I thought already to be true.

Yes, a ton of formatting and page breaks. Just moving text is not
optimal. But, I've already done it, so no big deal now. Thank you for
your help!
