for those interested, I found out that at least LibreOffice Writer (I have
tried 5.3.0) is actually able to read back text in the document edit field when
typing or navigating within the document if I enable the "Book mode with two
pages as in an open book". Although with some inconvenie

I am a writer, and I create a number of new files daily. Every time I do
so, I have to manually change the font/size from Times New Roman to
Calibri, my font of choice, 11 pt being my size of choice.
I can't find a way to make that a permanent change.
Please help.

Hi, ' have installed OpenOfice 4.1.3 (newsest) in Polish. I also could
have installed Deutsch as extension for Windows. Thus now I can select
Polish or German as the text language for spellchecking, hyphenation
etc. In addition, I would need English (UK) but did not find /English
(UK) Language
Please help me. I have been using OpenOffice Writer on a Vista computer for
several years. I just bought a Dell Windows 10 computer, and downloaded
OpenOffice to it. It ran sort of OK, but Windows got quite balky so I deleted
the OO.o.
