Not exactly sure what you are trying to do here, but simply inserting a
footer will make the Page # field (on insert -> Fields -> Page #) will
auto-generate on all the pages of the document.
For end notes, simply adding Insert -> Endnotes will do. For more

way until I get a message saying to close out programs with the 3.4.1. version
first. Now, I didn't have any programs open and tried again and I got the same
message. I then uninstalled the older version of my laptop
On the File menu, go to Printer Settings ... and on the Printer Setup dialog
click Options... in the lower-left corner. Look at the Comments column for the
available choices. These are on 4.1.1, they might be there on 4.0.1 too [;<).
