I was trying to do a simple banner for a site using Gimp on Fedora 19.
Selecting a font other than the default crashes Gimp. I can reproduce this
100% by either trying to scroll for a font or selecting something else than
the default a couple of times.
Extremely annoying, anyone else seen this a
ideas
what's going on?

I had to set acpi=off to get the live cd to boot, then I had to remove
the acpi=off and rebuild the EFI grub file so the trackpad would work,

By default my system has F12 in english, but the only keyboard defined is
Canada. After every boot or logon, I find that the user's keyboard has
reverted to USA. I have to delete the USA entry in order to recover the
functionality of the Canada Keyboard.. I write in French and Spanish, and
Living in Canada and working bilingually, my keyboard is Canada French ca(fr).
It is not USA.
I run Fedora12 in English, but the keyboard is the one I mentioned. Here is
the problem that recently started to occur.
When I chose my logon, Gnome shows USA as the keyboard. If I do not change it,
rather have Novell or the NSA
on your side. ;-)

I always install yumex
then I proceed to http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-fedora-f12.html
and do everything that is there. Important is RPMFUSION which will yield many
many hundreds of programs

In previous installations I'd leave it on for as long as I could stand
it, which on servers was only around 3 or 4 days. The list of denials
was just too long to deal with and they just kept

y mouse is sometimes between two position
reports and is essentially on hair trigger. Bumping the desk, or in
some cases just walking into the room causes it to vibrate enough to
unblank the monitor. I therefore try to turn off the monitor anytime
I'm leaving for a while.
