Works for me, but on some accounts I frequently get "tried to log in too
often" error. After opening yahoo mail & messenger in browser + an hour of
wait time, I can log in again.

Yeah, use ps to identify the stuck process id.

my goal in pursuing openvpn was to learn about VPNs and how they work.
openvpn was perfect for that. however, as a fine gentleman pointed me at
wireguard, so openvpn uninstall!
it's the only sane, opensource option...

were you able to locate the driver src code?
have you tried seeing who is the maintainer for code?
can you locate a driver log and crank up its debug log level?
does a working driver anywhere to show it's future potential is?
