By the way, there really is a minus symbol in the second position. I
think that's the placeholder for [FILE] if you look at the man page
for grub2-editenv, and that file is the grubenv. And now I'm gonna
look at some Rube Goldberg cartoons.

came up as nothing but an apparent password entry
field in the top left corner of the screen (at least
all it did was echo dots when I typed in it).
Switched to xdm, and that works much better.

I have a new LG Gram 17 laptop. Burned a Fedora 29 live CD, when I boot
it hangs on these 2 messages:
(1 of 2) A start job is running for Journal Service
(2 of 2) A start job is running for for er-live\x2drw.device
Eventually the Journal service fails then it starts over.
