F19 grub error after update

Problem: I installed "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf" and now can't boot. I need to delete the file. I can boot with the F-19 Live disc that I installed from but I don't know how to access the file to delete it. I don't want to redo the install since I've done most of the configuration

Scanner recommendations needed

I've tried several scanners from fedora 12 through fedora 17. The latest effort was an older H.P. scanjet 3570c. No matter which scanners I have tried, scanlite, etc... never seem to function consistently. It's always slow going and when I try to move to higher resolutions or scan several items

I just had the oddest thing happen to me. I performed a multipackage update on F19. I don't remember what packages, it was just one of those notifications of "You have 18 updates pending" and I hit "Update." When I rebooted my box, my alsa system was dead. No little mixer icon in the syste
