I don't think PSKs are "sent", per se. I might be mistaken.
In any case, while I've used the GNOME l2tp/ipsec plugin in the past, I
actually can't connect to my own VPN with that plugin right now, and
ipsec can be difficult to troubleshoot without the peer's logs

Make sure you have the right configuration.
Specifically, I think it means that either the phase 1 and phase 2
algorithms proposed weren't accepted by the server, or the routes
specified in your configuration aren't acceptable.
For an ipsec/l2tp connection, you don't need to add

Yesterday I have update my fedora 25 and after reboot VPN l2tp+ipsec do
not work anymore.
The connection happens without problem, the routing are set correctly,
the DNS (UDP protocol) and ping (ICMP protocol) to remote host work.
Only the access to some server, like ssh or smb:// (TCP protocol

gnome-shell may not work without a logout/login or reboot. My testing

I noticed that with the latest F20 kernel update, the 3 packages
NetworkManager-l2tp, kde-plasma-nm-l2tp, and xl2tpd were removed on a 32-bit
PAE machine, but not on 64-bit or on 32-bit non-PAE. This turns out to be
due to those packages depending on non-PAE kernel and kernel-modules-extra.

I'm on an F19 system running KDE and wanting to install kde-plasma-nm-l2tp.
One of its dependencies is NetworkManager-l2tp which is pulling in kernel-debug
and kernel-debug-modules-extra.
Does anyone know why this would be the case?

Hello,
I need to connect to a site via l2tp/openswan. I can set up openswan and
xl2tpd manually and this works fine.
However, bringing up the connection is not very comfortable and it would
be much nicer to be able to use the
networkmanager-openswan plugin. Unfortunately, l2tp and other
