I may try to switch to cura, but it turns out that RepetierHost
(even though it isn't in the repos) still accepts the definition
of my old solidoodle2 printer laying around in the mono repos
all this time, so I was able to use RepetierHost right away,
and printed this masterpiece last night:

checked they were a
little behind, so maybe your simplest path is to 'dnf install cura'
Likewise for Slic3r.

That rings a bell. I think solidoodle ran into the same problem
because linux could support 25, but the mono pretend to
be windows stuff didn't
