Thanks, Rich! That was the issue. I didn't have the server stopped so
the changes didn't hold. I did the ldapmodify commands and restarted the
server, logged in with a test account, and saw that the lastLoginTime
attribute is now present.

We were interested in tracking a user's last login time, and I see the
attribute that I can add in the user's profile. But we have 460 users so
adding that in manually would be tedious. I saw this article online:
https://fedorahosted.org/389/ticket/371 and wondered if all we had to do
was add
have put in the required information, but if I try to "su" over as one of
those users, or log out and try to enter one of the test user names, I get
an error saying that the user was not found.
So, how can I configure CentOS 6.4 to allow access to the test 389-ds
server?

Where does the console.log file get created? I've run with the debug
switches several times, even specifying a full path for the file, and it
doesn't get created. I can't find it for the life of me.
