it ask for password and then ask for the new password

Richard, your binary driver is from rpmfusion too? if not maybe this

probably your router aren't giving you dns numbers. you can change the
connection configurations by changing in ipv4 (or 6) tab from dhcp to
something like only address dhcp, and then providing the dns's in the
proper box
