OK so as it turns out, I'm unable to figure out how to get either
blivet-gui 1.2.4 or 2.0.1 to resize most anything whether mounted or

exception I found so far is blivet-gui 1.2.4 will resize ext4 on LVM

This is why you should always learn
I don't really know how to categorize this, so let me explain. This
started a while back on my F22 system and is continuing on the F24 system.

That sucks. Bit on the young side of average age. So not totally
unexpected but still unexpected?

New hard drive, all new install. Went from a 240Gb SSD to a 480Gb SSD.
I needed the additional space...
Even a different Lenovo x120e I had. So it was install, then rsync to
~/data over.

Hi, Robert
Can you please post the SELinux errors you got ?
And second: by migrating to 24 I assume that you mean that you upgraded
from older fedora, using dnf upgrade tools ? Or did you install Fedora 24
from scratch, overriding existing installation ?

I have switched over to the new system with F24. With a couple open items.
I am getting SELinux errors, related to the desktop environment mess up
at login time. Of course my practice is that occurs maybe once a
month. I will wait to see how work goes on the reported bugs.

I believe I have installed all I need of qemu. I have started the
manager, it connected to libvirtd (after I figured out what I had not
installed).
I moved my F21 image over from the old system and followed the add from
existing image. I got the error:

After literally decades of counting on good ole 'dump' for backups, I
find it failing and dumping core this morning, right after dnf upgrade
to the latest version (1:0.4-0.28.b45.fc24.x86_64). Downgrading to
prior version (1:0.4-0.27.b44.fc24.x86_64) fixes the problem.

Sorry, man, there aren't really alternate solutions for this. And that's
why I posted what I did. It wasn't meant to flame you, I just continually
shake my head at people who insist on using such a horrible software
package when there are much better options available.
Then again, most people do

blivet-gui (at the moment, f24) do not permit to edit (enlarge) LVM

I do so:

Thank you for the opinion and your offer of alternate solutions.

Who in their right mind uses LVM now? I stopped messing with that PoS 5
years ago. It's a PITA to manage, recovering from a failure is almost
impossible, and accessing / on an LVM drive from a boot/rescue disk is a
crap shoot.
