Got myself in a bind

I'm running F19 with all the latest updates. I did something as a normal user that has made my system unusable. I'm running the mate desktop and here are the issues I'm having: 1) No applets in the notification area except the date/time applet. 2) Only one of 2 Ethernet interfaces comes up.

Well, multiple boot machine is something very nice but we must be careful with all we do when we're installing the OSs. There is a long time I don't install Fedora, but ubuntu can specify the boot partition in the installation interface it uses now. I think Fedora also give us a lot of facilities.

You have to burn the iso to the usb stick using cd creator or what ever you have for the purpose, similar to how one creates a cd or dvd, not copy it. I do this frequently and once the iso is on the stick it doesn't seem to matter what else is on it the iso still works( for me anyway). I have
