Hi,
I have been learning to use Kannel for MT and MO messages and have successfully
managed to get it working.
My initial configuration was using dlr-storage = internal and have now switched
to using MySQL dlr.
Though the configuration works fine, I have some basic questions in this
regard.
Hi Nikos,
Thank you for your answer, but I don't fully understand. Join them to
one, meaning something like this?:
# RX 1
group = smsc
smsc = smpp
smsc-id = NEWXLRX
host = 10.22.250.163
receive-port = 9025
port = 9025
tranceiver-mode = false
smsc-username = "xxx"
smsc-password = "xxx"

Hi,
Looks good. This is the usual way. Otherwise It would be difficult for the
second server to know of message-ids and status of SMS sent by the first
server. Talk to them to verify it. Don't forget to specify parameters for
throttling, validity, etc.

Hi,
Nope. AFAIK the HTTP interface support, GET, POST & XML-POST. Try to give to
the sendsms url anything else than "http://"; and you can verify it yourself.

Hi,
forced-smsc on the sms-service group doesn't seem to work all the
time; I have noticed that sometimes a message will get routed to an
smsc that wasn't specified using forced-smsc ... and I can only
attribute it to forced-smsc not working all the time.
I combatted this problem by using
group
hi all
my kannel boxes works correctly with no errors at all.
but i am facing a little problems with sqlbox sent_sms table!
when i insert a record in send_sms like this
INSERT INTO send_sms ( momt, sender, receiver, msgdata, sms_type,dlr_mask)
VALUES
(’MT’, ’sando’, ’1234567890’, ’Hello world’, 2
you can use accepted-smsc or denied-smsc to fine tuning your routing

Hi to all!.
I'm running some tests with SMPP Sim and a cvs kannel with the sqlbox-meta.
The "meta-data-aware" patch is quite similar to my original patch, i'm
having the same issues than before, some loss between sqlbox and smsbox.
Anyone is having similar issues?

My patch adds support for meta-data on _all_ DB engines, not only mysql.
Have you tried with other DB engines?
Anyway, there seems to be another (still unknown) problem, perhaps not
related with sqlbox itself but with the way sqlbox talks with bearerbox. We
still need to do extra testing to determ
Hi,
Is the loss on MO or MT or BOTH ?

Some MO's are dropped under heavy traffic.
MT traffic is NOT affected at all.
Not sure about DLR's (didn't experienced myself, but since DLR's and MO's
are fairly similar... maybe)

hi,
You mean change the type of this column on send and sent tables? I am afraid
this would affect the normal TEXT sms messages that is supposed to go into
this field.
Please advise if changing the column type would not impact other normal sms.
