Apologies for the delayed response. So I have the base installation of
apache 2.4 within Amazon EC2 (via these instructions:
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/install-LAMP.html) which
loads these modules by default, among a few others:
LoadModule access_compat_module mo
