Hi, I am quite familiar with hosting multiple domains on a single server using
apache virtual hosts.
I rent a web server and am running 16 domains (currently) for myself, family
and friends.
Now I need to host some internal only websites for my employer (employees get

You probably want something like mod_perl or php to handle this most

ok thanks, i assume there is a reason
%{VAR_1}e
but a program that return more than 2048 the set variable value will get
truncated at 2048
# REQ_TEST_2 will have 2048 bytes
RewriteRule ^/(.*) [E=VAR_2:${mapprg:some_argument}]

rite? like:
RewriteMap prg:perl_program.pl
i know theres only one perl interpreter started at server startup and it
listens on STDIN - but does that mean it will handle the 10 request one
by one? i mean, in this example it would appear to take 10 seconds for
the last request?
prg: target is not a
program, but a script file, it's borked (al la .pl files). This needs
the same magic and options we employ for invoking piped logs, cgi etc.
Bill
... just curious ...
with magic (for win32) do you mean something like:
RewriteMap myprg "prg:c:/path/to/pe
RewriteMapescapeMeint:escape
RewriteRule ^/.* \
http://localhost:8080/$1?FORWARD_CERT=${escapeMe:%{SSL_CLIENT_CERT}} \
[proxy,last]
neither works.
anyone have aany idea to do this without a cgi, if possible at all ?
thanks
