Hello,
What's the best way to disable access to all but selected files. For
example, we have a php server. We'd like to serve php and html (css,
js) files, but not much else -- .php~, .txt, or .pl or .sh or .readme...
or whatever else. What is the best way optin what to allow rather than

Hi,
I have a script that is used to UPLOAD a file.
This script reads from "stdin".
It runs nicely for almost 2 years without any problem.
Suddenly, today, it stuck at the end of the read process. It cant read from
stdin completely.
Anyone know what might be the problem?
I dont change anythin

As an aside, an advantage of using a NAT router on
cable or dialup is that you don't need to run the
firewall on your Apache server because there is
usually one in your router, unless you put the server
in the DMZ on your router.
Depending on the OS used, you may have to play with
your hosts file

Yes, it's simpler to program ;-) and a little bit faster.

Yes. The read buffer for prg: is limited to 2K. This limitation has been
removed in 2.1/2.2.

Hello,
do you have an index.html file in that directory?
You get a 403 forbidden if directory listing is not allowed and there is
none of the default files to show in the directory.

Heyas,
get a router that supports your dynamic dns provider (dyndns is the most
common).
I have a Draytek Vigor 2600 for example and it can update even custom dyndns
without any problems or additional software.
I do not think that any programs can be loaded into
the routers. I prefer not t

do you use NFS?
Search nfs between the apache bugs
This could happen I guess even on local file sistem
when the httpd process tries to read a file: it stats the file for its size
meanwhile if the sought file has been substituted with a new smaller one
it will try to read (and so allocating memory)
This is a little off topic but I am not sure where else to ask it and I am
sure that others here must have the set up that I am trying to create.

Hello list, I am in the process of trying to get name based virtual hosts

gain access to the root directory for the host even though it looks like I
have everything set up correctly. When I try to access the host using
