Does anyone have a list of which distributions use a 2G/2G
address space split?
Essentially I am trying move an existing UML “system”
from a Fedora Core 3 host to a Suse 9.1 host and have been having little
success and I think (hope!) it may be owing to this.
Thanks for any help.

Yes. It's here.
If you didn't see anything, it's because to my knowledge there's none. I think
that this possibility could have existed only before 2.4 kernel

Hi Folks,
i was running UML version 2.6.12.3 on Fedora Core 3
host and things were working fine .
Then i used the same UML version on Fedora Core 4 and
it segfaulted . a search on the web indicated that
this was likely due to NPTL usage in the new glibc
included in gcc ver 4 that comes with FC4
No need for a reply from anybody, just posting these because they might be
useful to somebody one day...
These are what chains are used when traffic flows through the host for
ebtables (probably iptables too).

Hi Taha,
Are you using FC4/x86 UML on FC4/x86 host with SKAS3 patch? This works.
FC4/x86 UML on FC4/x86_64 does not work in SKAS3 mode.
Is your host a 64 bit FC4 machine? If it is, then we have some real
progress!! (and lots more questions to ask of you).
Cheers
Phill.

Hello Phill,
I am using Mandrake 8.2 /x86 filesystem on UML ( got
the file root_fs.md-8.2-full.pristine.20020324.bz2
from http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/dl-sf.html
).
UML kernel version is 2.6.13.4 compiled straight off
from kernel sources from kernel.org.
Host is FC4 with no patch wha
Hi Taha,
Oooh ooh I better do the compile here right away! But it's Friday afternoon
here now and time to go home.
Let you know about FC4/x86 on and FC4/x86_64 host over the weekend.
I guess you're running in SKAS0 mode then.
Cheers
Phill.
Fingers crossed!
