I can now run the REST tools.
It seems the REST tools were not available in debug mode of Intellij IDEA.
Now that I run the REST with run mode, I have no problem opening it.

Hello, I really need to access the REST module for my project.
Does any of you know how to solve this?
I created a custom webapp using Intellij IDEA, I'm not using the CE bundle as
in the REST module installation tutorial.
I think that's the difference.

I did try to configure the apiBasePath as in the link you provided before.
However, it seemed more wrong because I was building a custom bundle and there
was no magnoliaAuthor instance. The result, I still cannot launch the rest
tools correctly.

I think the problem might be that you did not configure the apiBasepath node at
/modules/rest-tools/config/apiBasepath
