There doesn't seem to be much replies on the webRTC forums.
My only ideas are around usage of the MediaStreamConstraints and some
special Safari settings that need to be considered:

But there is very little in terms of
I do see a few other video conferring products that have an app as well as web
based that are working on the iPad for the mic issue. They are open source so
we could look and see what they did to resolve the issue.
