am getting "package org.apache.cassandra.thrift does not exist" error, when
I tried to run java thrift example in my system.
Note: Cassandra server and client are running successfully.

Hi all,
Am running "Cassandra" on Windows XP (single node) machine.
I have made insertion of about "10 million" records into "Cassandra" , and
it took around 90 minutes to insert and 8GB of space.
For the same number of records MySQL will take "3 GB" space.
Could you please tell me why?

I have worked on Cassandra, Thrift and Hector, and I did it for 3 months, I
have written code for loading and fetching data from Cassandra in single
node, I want to work on this domain. Will u provide me the environment to
work on this?
