Are they all printing the same text? If I recall correctly, Open Printing to
PDF is where the fail occurs when certain Unicode characters are encountered.
Emojis are one example where characters will render in a field but not print to
a PDF.

Don’t be disheartened! I agree with Jacque that while I might not want to have
it running all the time, there would be times where it would be very useful.
Being able to switch it off would be good… but being able to switch it ON will

Scott Rossi published "Get In Line”, a different sort of solution which
involves dragging an img representation of the text line. I liked the added
opportunity for visual effect that this method offered. I have used it
successfully in several applications including ones in iOS. Scott talks about
Graham, I'm glad you've been "wittering on". I code signed my first Mac
application (and disk image) the other day because of your persistence.
