lots of apps have been receiving quicklists even past "freeze".

The design team makes the decisions in this area in general.
Ho
omplains on the icon too. this looks better and is more
descriptive imo. You may even want to propose something like that to the LO
guys.

@ Omar: yes, that's the one.
@ Supernova: that quicklists isn't a feature you'd use, doesn't me we
should include it for those that do.
With that said, I'd like to highlight it isn't only a quicklist I'm talking
about. It's also about the file association, that you can drag a word-file
and open i
quicklist slow your job: right click, select, left click.
one lo launcher icon: left click, look with your eyes, right click...
two action in place of three. Since 2<3, i wouldn't use quicklists.

I don't know if the current libreoffice.desktop has a good quicklist and
file association, but if that isn't the case I'd recommend a look to
libreoffice entry on this askubuntu.com question:

I personally would be happy to have a more accessible help. The only problem I
can see with the unified LO tile is the managing of multiple windows.

I completely agree! I do this since natty by my self. the only point is
that lo start center icon is really ugly in colours...grey upon
grey...nothing to do with unity elegance...
