searches with text you can also look for the second word like "sources" or
"update" which pulls the appropriate app up first in line. Or if you know
the technical name like "gedit".

I think that is what we can put in a wishlist-type bug? Discussing it

It was me (Chris) that wasn't attacking you personally, but merely
"bashing" Ubuntu's decision to split up from GNOME. I can only see the many
resembles between GNOME Shell and Ubuntu Unity. I agree that Ubuntu would

I have been testing 12.04 with a touch screen kiosk display and I have
noticed that scroll bars in unity are extremely difficult to use as the
point that you need to grab is very small, and is fingers are not
particularly accurate.

t its that Qt and Gtk+ are the two most
commonly used toolkits, so asking for a version in either would be good I
think. Considering LibreOffice it would even improve boot up time to use a
more common toolkit.

Anyhow, for implementing this idea on the BRB should be possible with even
a "simple" bash script. For editing current .desktops will be a bit
trickier, but is also doable in my opinion.
