I see this problem on my ThinkPad R50e in both 2.6.32-21 and 2.6.32-22 upgrades

Had been crash-less for a while, but then it happened again. once
yesterday and again 5 minutes ago :(
Exact same behavior, mouse jumps back and forth between screens, xorg
CPU usage skyrockets and the only way is to kill
I had a crash again this morning. I can't tell what I did other than simply
moving the mouse from one screen to another.
I could not even kill xorg with ctrl-alt-back. I had to login remotely from
another computer and kill xorg via the console.

@quequotion - I would say this is more likely a race condition between
the loading of the nvidia kernel module and the starting of X / gdm -
basically I think what is happening is that the module is loaded but X /
gdm starts up before it has finished initialising the hardware and hence

@Daniel, on the video it was between screen two and three, but it also
happens to me between the first and the second.
I can also move the mouse vertically, but everything else is dead not
even Ctrl-Alt-Backspace works.
Hopefully this bug can gather enough people for some expert to look into
it.

change the brightness either, OSD indicator appears but no change in

Title:
Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 don't modify
Reboot with kernel parameter video.use_bios_initial_backlight=0 doesn't
allow to change the brightness either, OSD indicator appears but no
change in brightness occur.
Let me know if there's anything else I could provide to make this work,
the LCD brightness on this laptop is burning my retinas =(
I've now updated this laptop to Oneiric and haven't had video issues ever since.
Anything I should do to get this closed?
