I run a partition for test releases only. The main purpose is so when I
do a distribution upgrade on my working partition there won't be any
major hiccups.
If I upgrade my test partition again to Natty, will this be fixed? I
don't want to go back to the drawing board again with a live Gparted.

I would like to summarize problems I have had with Acer monitors. I had
an Acer monitor that had problems with every Alpha since I began testing
Intrepid an all subsequent versions. The desktop itself has been
replaced twice and now has an Emachines monitor, manufactured by Acer.
At first I though

unplugged. Yesterday it wouldn't unsuspend at all when the devices that
had been in use were not used.

Looks to me like Java is querying display modes and doesn't receive
anything back. Jave doesn't handle this gracefully and crashes.
Xmir should probably at least return something meaningful back when

After a client connects to the X socket and Xmir is started with the fd
returned from accept(), the client just hangs.
Ok, I've traced this down to bug #1675448 being the root of the issue.
Xmir is started no matter what and if an application natively supports
Mir such as a Gtk or Qt app, then there are multiple connections to Mir,
which is what the aforementioned bug is about.

Hi, when I open an application from the notification area the window
sometimes moves "outside" the screen. Then I must use the Alt key and
drag back the window.

There is an issue with the Xsession, in which logging out and logging
back in again does not clear environment variables, so the ssh-agent
script thinks that the agent is already running, and thus does not
bother to start it again.
I have altered the script, albeit in not the
