for desktop animations is down by about half - presumably due to the new
GLAMOR optimizations. I suspect it may be reduced even further with the
improvements in Xorg 1.17.

This bug remains, and the problem is just as bad after converting from
an .Xmodmap file to an xkb map: THE FILE MUST BE MANUALLY RELOADED ON
AWAKENING.
- A script in /etc/pm/sleep.d does not work.
- A script on the desktop does not work.

clarify what I am talking about, I meant editing the files under
/usr/share/X11/xkb/

Thank you for responding, I replaced the hard drive with an ssd fresh
install. Problem rectified. Thank you for your support. Do I need to
manually fstrim for the ssd or is it supported for 14.04?
