Yes apport is configured correctly I tried the test with sh -c 'kill
-SEGV $$' and could successfully produce a crash report...
There is no crash occuring when I hit "apply". It seems the program is
simply closing.
I tried to use to old version 304.88-0ubuntu0.0.2 but could not change
the monitor
If I remove the ~/.drirc file then boot with the xorg.conf device

The lastest update also breaks my computer, which uses NVidia graphic
card. I tried purging nvidia-prime and nvidia-331 ( or nvidia-319) and

The bug does still occur on Trusty. I did a fresh install from the
nightly builds (the AMD64-Mac ISO), and plugged in the monitor while
running `top`. kworker takes up 100% of CPU and makes the system
extremely unresponsive.
I rebooted, and ran apport-collect in order to generate the updated
