I just posted this as a fix for the users who were unable to change brightness,
and I had no idea how deep the roots of this bug are.
In my case, both acpi_video0 and acpi_video1 do not work, i.e. the brightness
does not change and the syste
The problem is in the udev driver. Updating the driver to the newest
version vill solve the problem. (Need to compile manually..)

alternate build-depends don't really work - we always choose the first
one. So I removed your first option & we'll use nvidia-current (please
file another request if this should be changed). I also fixed the PPA

Now, in ubuntu 13.10, the faulty behaviour which "leaked" symbols from
the English layout into the Hebrew (lyx) layout when English was listed
first is no more. So now, Hebrew (lyx) has no numbers or symbols like
!@#, and it is unusable.

I already had) at the same time. I rebooted and both problems were
fixed: I could change the backlight using my key
Today I've tried again Ubuntu 13.04, and doesn't start like Ubuntu 12.04(02).
Ubuntu 13.04 shows a full violet screen.
I've tried to add nomodeset on kernel, and remove quiet and splash, and this is

I had to change my board, because the K8N crashed. Now I have a A8N-E
with bios 1008. I also changed my video card to Radeon HD 4350. I also
upgraded my system as usually, and have kernel 3.2.0-52 with the most up
to date video drivers.
