Lines appear at the top of the deskt

As Ubuntu Unity 11.04 did not work on Intel 865GVHZ boards...I was disappointed
a bit.
Now oneric ocelot has started supporting Intel 8xx boards...That's a great news.
But still the graphics is not appealing and sometimes I see incomplete windows
(Gets corrected when I drag
I can't do that because I can't launch a terminal, switching to text
console does not work and you can't ssh in the machine.
However, X itself is not frozen. I can move the mouse, activate top
panel thingies and so on. Pressing the power button shuts down the
machine cleanly.
I have run apport-co
after fresh installation of Linux Mint XFCE 11 (or Lubuntu 11.04) on
Acer Travelmate 240 screen stays blank after boot

With stock kernel I can reproduce my issue less then in a hour.
And this is ubuntu's mainline repo.
Seems I have a bit different error with same result, but you may try.
You can always boot to stock kernel.
I hope this testing result will point ubuntu kernel team to backport
driver changes.

fixed the problem, after a short while. But nvidia-xconfig hasn't
solved the pb - the new config is lacking some supporting packages ..
So this time around, I'm running on 640
