I installed the kernel Andreas mentioned 2.6.32-14.19 , and after 4 days
of uptime I rebooted, everything worked just fine.

Mouse cursor moves, but clicks are ignored and keyboard is locked up

It sounds like there may be a few similar problems mentioned above. I
was also having problems, and started bug #521260. In that bug, it was
requested I try a mainline kernel. I did, and have not had any low-
graphics or non-display problems. I DO NOT know anything about the
innards of X, just
I guess 9.04 isn't supported any more, so let me know if you still need
me to go back to 9.04 to test this. Otherwise you can close it out.
