I think this is standard "xorg freezes" class bug. # When did you first notice it? Did you change any settings (Desktop Effects?) or update your system prior to first noticing it? After upgrading to Lucid
# What frequency does it occur? Just once? Hourly? Daily? 5-10minutes after using Chromium (any ppa daily/beta/dev or the Lucid archive one) # Try to determine actions which reproduce it or make it more/less likely to reproduce. * Open lots of applications? Open chromium do general browsing for a little bit get the freeze * Heavy switching between desktops or vts Nope * Suspend/resume Irrelavent. Happes with suspend/resume and with cold boot. * Visiting particular web pages or loading particular files Possibly flash enabled site & chromium. # Include a Batchbuffer Dump. On -intel this is REQUIRED.
