xrandr is the tool that you are lookin for: xrandr --output --gamma 1.0:1.0:1.0 output might be DVI-0 but you can check it with xrandr -q. But I don't understand why 2nd monitor would mess the gamma settings in first one. This would need some more investigation to find the cause for problem. -
