My problem seems to be the same - but more severe. This started immediately after upgrading to the 10.4 alpha2 release. Every time I boot the system X crashes just before I can login. Sometimes I see the login screen, sometimes usually I cannot. I've attached my Xorg log as well - please contact me if you need more information.
