I've the same Probleme with Dual-Head and the mga-Driver in Kubuntu 9.04 and
9.10.
I've tested the Patch from Bryce PPA and it worked fine in Kubuntu 9.10 ( I
haven't tested it in 9.04).

I don't know if it's related, but Lucid won't un-suspend. Pressing
ctrl+alt+F2 doesn't do much except allow me to reboot with
ctrl+alt+delete which is otherwise unavailable.
Also, after recent updates when an application (Thunderbird, Firefox)
causes a problem, it logs out rather than going glossy

This happens for me on a Dell D420. Changing the acpi lid.sh, as noted

Brian, thanks, I gave it a try, but this is lucid not karmic. I didn't know
what to do with that, so I tried it anyway. The xserver-xorg-video-intel got
"kept back" so it booted to black screen. Back to hand keying in xorg.conf
with driver "vesa".

what actually happens is this ( its reproducible on my ubuntu)
when somebody presses right click button ubuntu interpreted that as a right
click and upon releasing it again another right click command is issued.
in windows or opensuse this is not the case. in those os ,right click command
is is
