I can confirm I'm not a Ubuntu developer.
I'll look to see if I can video the touch support in previous releases
as demonstration. I used to be able to use two finger pinch and scroll,
and was really hoping to use Natty's other touch-based interactions.

There's two different mechanisms for multitouch support in Natty: the X
synaptics module, and the uTouch framework.
The X synaptics module uses multitouch only for simple tasks like two
finger scrolling and two tap right click. There's no functionality in
the module for two finger pinch support
