Based on an irc discussion, it sounds like the touchscreen is recognized as a "PS/2 Generic Mouse". It is also believed that in previous releases the X evtouch input module was used. This module has been deprecated and removed from Ubuntu due to a lack of upstream maintenance.
We are trying to bring some of the same functionality to Ubuntu through the uTouch stack, though it's not quite there yet in Natty. As such, I'm marking this as won't fix. ** Changed in: xf86-input-wacom (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xf86-input-wacom in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/745065 Title: Touchscreen not detected as multi-input _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
