The issue is still there. Unlike KDE, Unity choses right resolution but
xrandr still shows inverted state of video outputs. I have connected
only DVI output, both TV and VGA are disconnected. In the same time

This looks similar to bug #636613, but Xorg.log from #636613 connector
VGA-1 is connected while both DVI-I-1 and TV-1 shows disconnected. If
reporter used single monitor setup TV-1 should be in connected state.

This is what I get if I run xwininfo on regular window. It is HUD who
takes all the mouse events.

Software rendering was fixed in mesa 7.6.1. Karmic has mesa 7.6.0. So

Since I have upgraded this machine to Kubuntu Karmic 9.10 (I'm using a
R100 ATI videocard), it always showed I got direct rendering with
glxinfo, however I had no desktop effects and couldn't run any 3D
applications. After read some tutorials a

this bug), it's reproducible by either a suspend/resume cycle or by
leaving the laptop idle long enough to where the backlight is turned
off. I can confirm that this is a regression introduced by 9.10, this
was working correct
