same with intel on 12.10
it makes no sense to make HDMI audio out depend on active HDMI video
out, hell new HDMI cables even support ethernet, it makes no sense
concluding any media type with the cord/interface type.

same here. random freezes (mainly when using on battery, but also on
cord), with blank screen. seems to be graphics adapter related, or
buffer overflow, who knows on thinkpad edge 13 with amd/ati combo,
64bit please fix :(

also having this during login screen. if i leave it unattended for too
long: blank screen.
btw I have originally assumed it to be a screensaver problem, but I have
disabled screensaver etc, so it cant be a case of not waking up from
screensaver bug...

I experienced the bug with both the free and the other driver.
I just press the power button for a few seks, which kills the machine
and start anew... not sure what you mean by whehter I can ssh into the
machine. The moment I have a freeze I cannot do anything
hard to isolate the problem, too

I am not sure where the problem is but I get random system freezes.
Suddenly the screen goes black and I cannot do anything anymore. I know
that it must be more than a visual bug, since when I watch a video or
listen to music, the audio goes into hic
having blackscreens randomly all the time. it just freezes up and the
graphics adapter says bye bye, but i am on an ATI
