Public bug reported:
During a reboot or fresh cold boot my MacBookAir3,1 doesn't give a
Plymouth Ubuntu logo screen. It's just garbled corruption from unflushed
video memory. Sometimes the last image on screen before reboot is
visible after reboot (albeit backwards, blocked, and pixelated).

xserver-xorg-video-all fails to install

Public bug reported:
It appears that a few of the dependencies for xserver-xorg-video-all
have had their package file truncated in the 12.04 LTS 64 Bit Alternate
ISO (ubuntu-12.04-alternate-amd64.iso). This causes Ubuntu setup to fail
during the "Select and install software" phase giving an error
My suggestions:
1. DebugWait / SwapbuffersWait: create the file
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf with the following:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel"
Driver "intel"
Option "DebugWait" "true"
Option "SwapbuffersWait" "false"
EndSection
2. Add "i9
