Public bug reported: I have a Cougar 450M gaming mouse. I am dual booting between Windows 10 and Xubuntu. The mouse works perfectly in Windows but fails dismally in any flavour of Ubuntu (tried Ubuntu, Lubuntu and Xubuntu) including during the OS installation phase.
On very rare occasion it will work when I boot into Ubuntu, but 9 out of 10 times the only functions available are the mouse buttons and scroll wheel. There is also a DPI adjustment button on the 450M which cycles through the various available settings and changes colour based on the current DPI setting. I have noted that if you press the button once, the button changes colour as expected, but if you continue to press the button, nothing happens. It seems to freeze on that setting.
