I have the same problem, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 and display hanged. Un-installed the NVIDIA driver and it works fine. Faced a similar problem after installing Ubuntu 11.10, but could resolve it by installing NVIDIA 173 version. But the installation for the same fails with Ubuntu 12.04. Hope

Confirming that this is also the case with my install. However, when I tried to install fglrx from synaptic (not via jockey), it marked fglrx- updates to be installed as well. Checking now, this isn't the case anymore, but may be what caused some people issues before. -- You received this bug not

Public bug reported: Using Unity in Precise Beta1, the launcher does not reveal upon cursor moving to the left edge. Bugfinder suggested fglrx as the issue - not sure about that, but I'll try. Can use the launcher via the button, and all unity 3D features seem to be fine, except the reveal. Prob
