I was hesitant to install the daily build again since I felt I was being

I just purged the bumblebee packages and installed nvidia-prime.
I wasn't using the NVIDIA card anyway, so I didn't need dynamic card switching
(except to work around a defect in my laptop, but I already found another

After the recent update, I can confirm that bumblee broke for me as
well. I had the same plymouth goes to black screen problem.
As a shot in the dark *(and me not trusting my installation), I removed
bbswitch and all nvidia related packages, and then installed nvidia-346.
The 3.13.0-62 kernel now
In case anyone is still stuck with this...
I am now running a windoze version of Stellarium through Wine. No special
settings, Wine worked out what to do with the installer & even gave me an icon.
Everything seems to be working OK.

This happens to me too on a 2015 Lenovo X1 Carbon, up-to-date vivid.
When it happens (usually after resuming from a suspend, but sometimes
during normal usage) the trackpoint, trackpad and touchscreen all still
work and UI elements highlight when the cursor is over them, but the
cursor itself is in

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade xserver-xorg-video-intel
It did upgrade the driver.
However, I still see the issue with my graphics in FVWM.
Any recommendations on what to do for the layman if I'm not doing
something right? Thanks :-)
