I am also experiencing this since 2 days ago on my tests. I also face
the same problem with the background window receiving the clicks and the
front windows caring less about them.
At first I thought it was the mouse (logitech anywhere) so I changed
batteries. I could move the cursor but no clicks

Hey... it actually did solve the problem - at least temporarily. Not
only that, but I noticed something else interesting before I tried that.
If two windows are open, the active one doesn't receive the clicks, but
the one underneath does.

I find sometimes that if I plug in my monitor into my laptop (via an
HDMI port, and and then HDMI to DVI connector) the monitor doesn't seem
